*** Synopsis ***

2085 A.D.--Humanity is down to 500 million people worldwide
due to the Great Sterility Pandemic. The age demographic
pyramid is upside down with the aged in the majority, a
dwindling population of able-bodied young, and babies all
but unheard of. A society that once thrived on growth and
innovation, now subsists on barter and salvage. There is
one last chance to stave off extinction. It's a risky one.
But the greater issue is--

Does H. sapiens sapiens deserve it?

    5-STAR REVIEW–June 2006 Warpcore SF
"The concept behind A Destiny of Fools is fresh and original, particularly when
overpopulation and overcrowding are things we take so much for granted
today. The science behind this story is well researched, to the extent that it
doesn't require much suspension of disbelief. This is realistic science fiction
rather than science fantasy. But more importantly, this is a well-written and
entertaining novel with an exciting plot that will have you hooked until the
    last page."
    —Rosalind Jackson, reviewer

FINALIST–2006 FLORIDA FIRST COAST WRITERS' FESTIVAL
“Sometimes I send some suggested corrections to entrants so the final
manuscript is as clean as possible, but your writing is so clean that I would
only be quibbling about commas here and there.”
    —Howard Denson, 1st Round Judge

    EDITOR’S PICK–JUNE 2004 ONLINE WRITING WORKSHOP SF/F/H
“There is a lot to like in this short chapter [four], which goes down as smooth
as pricy bourbon but still has a wonderful bite.”
—James Patrick Kelly, Hugo Award Winner, Think Like a Dinosaur
